Charron received her B.S. in Organizational Leadership from Biola University and her M.A. in Gerontology from the University of Southern California. She has been with the University of California for 9 years and currently serves as the Associate Chief Information Security Officer for the UC Berkeley Information Security Office.  ISO coordinates the risk management process for UC Berkeley’s information systems and directs campus-wide efforts to adequately secure institutional data.

Charron served for 2 years as a Council of UC Staff Assemblies delegate for UC Davis Health and now serves as the Council’s Secretary.  Charron co-founded the Black Leadership Alliance Council (BLAC@UC) in the Fall of 2020.  She is the most recent past Chair for both the UC Davis Health African American Faculty and Staff Association, and UC Davis Staff Assembly – Health.

Charron’s focus is on advocating for a diverse, inclusive, and equitable faculty, staff, and student body; and her passion is on engaging in and creating meaningful relationships with community partners.

Charron is mom to a teenage son who is in his first year at California State University of California Sacramento majoring in Biomedical Sciences and beginning his journey to becoming a physician.  In her spare time, she enjoys writing and has published a book of poems entitled Words That Occur in the Absence of Love.
