Annual Chair Report to the Regents

Workgroup Reports

Each year, CUCSA delegates are assigned to a group to work on a topic or issue of importance to staff systemwide. These topics range from internal CUCSA operations to staff and staff dependent educational benefits. Summaries of these reports are then shared in the Annual Chair Report to the Regents. Staff Engagement Survey

With the support of the UC Office of the President, CUCSA conducted a Staff Engagement Survey in 2012 with follow up surveys in 2015 and every other year thereafter. The objectives of the surveys were to:

  • Understand the current state of engagement of the UC workforce system-wide and how it differs by key organizational segments and demographics.
  • Determine what drives engagement at UC specifically.
  • Surface strengths to build on the opportunities to address; create a shortlist of actions to address issues and improve employee engagement across the system.
  • Involve and communicate with leaders and employees throughout the process.

The engagement survey materials can be found here. The  Staff Engagement Survey was conducted in 2012, 2015, 2017, and once again in Spring 2019 so that progress could be measured.
