Biography

Desiree is a Records Analyst with UC San Diego Human Resources. She was formally a team member of the campus payroll office which had been folded into the HR office post UCPath conversion. She has worked in the Payroll/HR arena since her hire with UCSD in 2012 and has been at the forefront of customer connection and experience with the UCSD community. She is a San Diego native with deep roots in the community.

If you have visited the famous Balboa Park, which was built for the Panama-California exposition of 1915, you will see the plaster work of her maternal Great Grandfather. She loves being an aunt to her 5 nephews and 1 niece. She is a 11+ year volunteer for the San Diego Humane Society clocking over 800 hours of volunteer time in services of the human-animal connection.

Her UCSD Staff Association and CUCSA passion is to recognize staff for the vital work they do and to advocate for their effort and wellbeing. She was introduced to the work of the UCSD Staff Association though her work with the Staff Sustainability Network. She was previously the Wellness Chair for the UCSD Staff Association and has taken on the role of Staff Association Chair for the next two years. She is looking forward to the challenge or working for and on behalf of the UCSD staff and the UC staff system wide in ensuring their wellness and recognition in the vital work that they perform.
