Biography

Jane Chesson (she/her/hers) is a director of healthcare revenue cycle in the UCSF School of Medicine Departments of Dermatology and Pathology. Her job duties are centered on capturing patient care revenue to optimize financial performance. Jane has 15 years of University of California service at three campuses: UCLA; UC Berkeley; and UC San Francisco. She resumed working at UCSF in 2022. Jane holds a BS and MS in Accounting from San Francisco State University.

Jane joined the UCSF Staff Assembly executive board as treasurer in 2025 to build connections with her colleagues across UC San Francisco’s large, multisite campus. In 2026, she became one of the two UCSF CUCSA delegates who collaborate with other CUCSA delegates from the University of California 10-campus system. Jane is passionate about advocating for changes that improve the working lives of UC staff employees, particularly those not represented by a union.
