Biography

Ramon Aldana is the Finance Program Manager for the UCOP Operations Budget, Financial Planning and Analysis department at University of California Office of the President. He began at UCOP in 2023 after more than 15 years working for Gap Inc. in San Francisco. In his time at Gap, his roles ranged from Merchandise Management to Financial Planning and Analysis honing his skills in forecasting, analyzing trends, budgeting and strategic planning. Ramon joined the UCOP Staff Assembly in 2025 and servers on the board of the Latinx Staff Association. Beyond his professional and leadership roles, Ramon enjoys the beach, attending sporting events and concerts with his wife and two daughters. He is excited to collaborate systemwide and learn from everyone.

“The most positive part of my CUCSA experience was the opportunity to engage with my peers across the UC system, to learn that the challenges that we were facing at UC Riverside were not always unique to us, and in some cases had been addressed and even solved. I also enjoyed my time outside the meeting, chatting with colleagues and dinners and the odd karaoke bar, learning more about them both personally and professionally. Some of these friendships have lasted until today.”
