Biography

Sanchita Pal is a Contracts and Grants Supervisor at UC Berkeley, where she has supported the research community for over 12 years. With experience working with federal, nonprofit, and private organizations, she collaborates with faculty, researchers, and staff to advance UC Berkeley’s mission of teaching, research, and public service.

Since joining the Berkeley Staff Assembly (BSA) Governing Council in 2022, Sanchita has served in various leadership roles, gaining valuable experience in staff advocacy, engagement, and professional development. As a CUCSA Delegate, she is committed to strengthening communication across the UC system, supporting staff growth, and ensuring that staff perspectives are represented in systemwide conversations.

Beyond her professional and leadership roles, Sanchita is passionate about Indian dance, community volunteering, and traveling with her family to explore new places and spend time with her grown children
