Biography

Vanity Campbell has more than 12 years of experience across the UC system, promoting research program growth and excellence through extramural funds development, partnership-building, and project management for interdisciplinary research efforts at UCLA, UC Merced, and UC Agriculture and Natural Resources. Vanity is currently the Coordinator for Proposal Development Services within the Office of Contracts and Grants at UC Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR), where she supports division-wide efforts to advance research, extension, and education. She served as the Chair of the UC ANR Staff Assembly Wellness Committee during the 2020-2021 academic year, and continues to support efforts that aim to improve the health, well-being and quality of life of UC ANR employees through knowledge-sharing and community-building. Vanity is inspired by the committee’s work and opportunities to develop and deliver programs that have a direct impact on the organization’s culture, fostering healthy workplace environments, empowering employees to adopt healthy habits, and strengthening a sense of community among staff. Vanity earned her BS in Microbiology from The University of Texas at Austin. She has a Master of Public Health with an emphasis in health management and policy from UCLA.
