Biography
Maddie is an Events and Fiscal Coordinator at UC San Diego, where she collaborates with faculty to plan a variety of student, staff, and faculty events, lectures, conferences, and workshops, ranging from intimate gatherings of 20 to large events with up to 600 attendees. In her day-to-day role, she also manages multiple social media accounts, discovering a passion for social media marketing. Maddie has been at UCSD for over two and a half years.
Before becoming Chair Elect, she served as the Marketing and Communications Executive Chair for the UC San Diego Staff Association Executive Board, where she enjoyed planning campus-wide events for staff. Additionally, Maddie volunteers with the Latinx Committee, helping to organize the annual Latinx lunch event on campus.
With a background in member events from private country clubs, Maddie honed her event planning skills and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Marketing from San Diego State University. Go Aztecs! Originally from Denver, Colorado, she grew up playing competitive soccer and volleyball and developed a passion for golf. In her free time, Maddie enjoys going to the gym, practicing Pilates, golf, reading, baking, going to the beach, trying new foods, and spending time with family and friends. You can often find her sharing stories about visiting her family in Colorado and her black lab, Remi Rose!
