Please summarize your experiences with Staff Assembly, and what you gained from your experiences.

It was because of Staff Assembly that I was able to get involved with staff issues that really mattered to me. In the end, I think we did a lot to champion staff. I was also able to make connections across campus and really build my network.

Why should staff engage with their local Staff Assembly in your opinion?

It is important to understand what is happening across campus and the system and do your best to make things better for yourself and your fellow employees.

Do you have any advice for staff who plan to participate in their Staff Assembly long term?

Pace yourself. It is important to not get burnt out. Give what you can when you can, but also step back when you need time for yourself and your career.
