Biography

Melanie is the President of UCR Staff Assembly for 2024-2025 and has served as the Performing Arts Marketing Specialist for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (CHASS) since 2021. She is also the former Chair of the UCR Healthy Campus Marketing and Communications subcommittee (now UCR Okanagan Charter), serving from 2018-2023. Prior to joining CHASS, Melanie served as the UCR Library’s Communications Specialist. Before coming to UCR, Melanie worked in the special events and entertainment industry as a speakers’ agent, show director, and senior event producer for an award-winning talent buying company. She also worked as a marketing consultant and coach for keynote speakers, a professional portrait photographer, and was also invited to audition for Cirque du Soleil.
