Biography

Negar Shekarabi is the Program Director for Faculty/Staff Support Services at UC Irvine where she provides oversight and coordination of on-site mental health support, consultation, and program development that supports the behavioral health needs of UCI and UCI Health employees. Her work is focused on helping to develop and support the infrastructure of wellbeing and mental health resources at UCI through collaboration and innovation enterprise wide. As licensed clinical psychologist she has worked in university settings providing mental health services since 2006, including UC Riverside Counseling Center and the UCI Counseling Center, serving as a senior staff psychologist and outreach coordinator and the California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA) Mental Health Services grant from 2012-2014. Negar is a UCI alum, obtaining her bachelor’s in Cognitive Science in 2002 and her master’s and doctorate degrees in 2004 and 2008 respectively from Pepperdine University.
