Biography
A member of the UC Berkeley campus since 2006, Patrick G. Allen has more than 25 years of experience in higher education. His background spans over several public and private institutions and includes work in admissions, student services and advising, and housing. Currently, Patrick is serving as a policy analyst with the Berkeley Division of the Academic Senate.
Originally from Davenport, Iowa, Patrick earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa. He also earned two master’s degrees from Golden Gate University of San Francisco, California. He is currently an EdD doctoral student in the Higher Education and Leadership program at Edgewood College of Madison, Wisconsin where his research focuses on higher education graduate degree program quality and job satisfaction.
Patrick has a passion for collaboration and the desire to improve the well-being, professional growth, work-life alignment, and boost employee morale led him to seek the role of CUCSA delegate. As a CUCSA delegate, Patrick is excited to work alongside diverse staff members from various UC campuses. He strongly believes we can tackle challenges experienced by UC staff through the exchanging valuable insights, fostering a strong sense of unity and camaraderie. Beyond formal responsibilities, Patrick enjoys the arts, cooking and dining out with friends, working out, traveling, and photography.
