Biography

Alvin Cha has been part of the UC Merced community since 2007, initially as an undergraduate student and subsequently, in 2014, as a dedicated staff member. Following his graduation from UC Merced with a B.S. in Management, he furthered his education at CSU Stanislaus, where he successfully earned a Master of Business Administration degree. Alvin’s professional journey at UC Merced began in the Office of Admission before transitioning to key roles in the Office of the Registrar, the Division of Management and Information and now with the School of Engineering. His diverse experience has equipped him with a wealth of knowledge spanning various areas within the university. Throughout his years of dedicated service at UC Merced, Alvin has actively contributed to the UC Merced Alumni Board, engaged in staff and faculty workgroups, and participated in numerous committees. His commitment and involvement reflect a deep connection to the university and its community.
