Biography

Alvin Cha is a UC Merced alum and the first in his family to attend and graduate from a 4-year institution with a Bachelor of Science in Management. Continuing his education, Alvin later earned a Master of Business Administration from CSU Stanislaus in 2016. Alvin has been part of the UC Merced community since 2007, when he first entered as an undergraduate student. He has over 7 years of experience working in student affairs and recently transitioned into academic affairs as the Gallo School Assistant Director.

Alvin joined UC Merced Staff Assembly to engage and advocate for staff and plans to continue this during his time with CUCSA. He recalls the support that staff had given him during his years as an undergraduate student and wants to ensure that staff are valued for what they do to support and serve students, staff and faculty.
