Biography

Javier has been a member of the UC ANR community since 2012, contributing significantly to various counties, including Stanislaus, Merced, Fresno, Orange, and Los Angeles, through the CalFresh Healthy Living Program and EFNEP.

Javier is passionate about creating spaces where all voices are heard and firmly believes that the Staff Assembly serves as a critical platform for amplifying the perspectives and concerns of staff.

“The most positive part of my CUCSA experience was the opportunity to engage with my peers across the UC system, to learn that the challenges that we were facing at UC Riverside were not always unique to us, and in some cases had been addressed and even solved. I also enjoyed my time outside the meeting, chatting with colleagues and dinners and the odd karaoke bar, learning more about them both personally and professionally. Some of these friendships have lasted until today.”
