Biography

Jose L. Medina, III, a native of Merced, California, is passionate about expanding college opportunities for rural students. With a strong background in student affairs and enrollment management from Fresno State, he now serves as Coordinator for the Summer Bridge & Community Partners Programs at University of California, Merced in the Calvin E. Bright Success Center. Jose holds degrees in History and Counseling from Fresno State and is currently pursuing a doctorate (Ed.D.) in Higher Education and Student Affairs through St. Cloud State University. His leadership includes significant roles in CCPA and UC Merced’s Staff and Faculty of Color Association, underscoring his dedication to educational equity in the Central Valley and beyond.
